The Beginning of Springfield Township Volunteer Hose Company.
The Springfield Township Volunteer Hose Company was established in the winter of 1946. The department was started with 25 charter members. It is located in Mill Run, PA, Fayette County. There are now over 50 members on the books with about 15 maintaining active status. The department has equipment and personnel trained to respond to:
- structure fires,
- vehicle accidents,
- medical assists,
- physical rescues and
- hazardous material emergencies.
